Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) provides speech language therapy services to clinic patients.Pay Range
Minimum $37.61 Midpoint $49.84 Maximum $62.06Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: None required. Has filed or has an approved plan for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Education
• Required: Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders or equivalent.
Training
• Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Strong customer service skills. Ability to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure and deadlines; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
• Preferred: Conversational fluency in sign language or a second language, particularly Spanish or Vietnamese.
Licensure
• Required:  California license in Speech Pathology or has filed an approved plan for the RPE (Required Professional Experience); Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred: Eligible for or currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or has filed an approved plan for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY0
