Job Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Admitting Services, the Admitting Representative will be responsible for assisting with patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner. Consistently securing accurate demographic information to create a complete medical record.Pay Range
Minimum $21.00 Midpoint $21.00 Maximum $22.00Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- At least one year working in registration in a hospital setting or equivalent.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Typing 40 WPM, experience working with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers and other office machines.
- When working in Emergency Dept, Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior certification required within 90 days of first assignment in Emergency Dept.
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, strong team player, medical terminology
- Basic Life Support , MAB - Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior
Work Environments - Functional Demand:
Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .Physical Activity Requirements:
