Job Description Summary

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the Manager of CT and Director of Imaging Services. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist utilizes all CT resources to perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from pediatric through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician. Other duties as deemed necessary. F-Sun 6p-630a.

Job Description

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the Manager of CT and Director of Imaging Services. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist utilizes all CT resources to perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from pediatric through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician. Other duties as deemed necessary. F-Sun 6p-630a.

 

Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology
Work Experience: 1 year of Radiologic experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date. Current American Heart Association (AHA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience. Registration/Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA  recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
