Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Logistics Associate II - 1st Shift.Â
The hourly rate for this position is $21.25 - $24.68 per hour.
Shift hours: 7am-3:30pm

What you’ll do:
Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Logistics Associate II. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and is responsible for preparing, processing and shipping in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner. Responsible for accurate physical packaging of materials/product in order to maintain integrity of product, generating labels and communicating with internal and external resources. Must follow all customer requirements and DOT regulations and ensure delivery of product on time to customers.   Â
In this function you will:
•   Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.
•   Ability to obtain PIT certification
•   Ability to obtain explosives clearanceÂ
•   Knowledge of standard shipping practices and the use of common packaging tools, hand tools, measuring equipment.
•   Possesses knowledge of standard packaging requirements including sealers, labeling techniques, and packaging equipment
•   Able to perform assignments independently and understand written instructions with support of the team on shipping processes following company policies and processes
•   Ability to learn packaging processes in a clean room environmentÂ
•   Ability to learn ERP/packaging transactions
•   Ability to independently package and ship runner programs. Â
•   Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team.
•   Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•   Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
•   2 years of relevant shipping/logistics experience or Military experience
•   Previous experience using various hand tools, packaging equipment, and measuring equipment.Â

Preferred Qualifications:
•   High School Diploma with Skilled Trade certification or Associates DegreeÂ
•   3 years of Aerospace Manufacturing or Assembly and TestÂ
Position Criteria:
•   Work in partnership with peers to achieve cell targets
•   Demonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment.
•   Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement conceptsÂ
•   Able to follow work instructions and perform tasks without supervision.
•   Able to communicate effectively, manage time and adapt to various work environments.
•   Must be able to stand and walk for most of the work day.
•   Must be able to lift, carry and stack 35lbs from floor level to shoulder level.
•   Must be able to push/pull a pallet using a pallet jack.
•   Must be able to load/unload trucks outdoors in all weather conditions
•   Engaging by participation in Eaton culture opportunities (ex. iERG participation)
•   Identify improvement opportunities, resulting in a decrease of lead time, cost savings, elimination of waste, or safety improvement
