As a Manufacturing Engineer III, you’ll own the processes that turn designs into high‑quality, on‑time products. You will develop products and processes to customer drawings and requirements; create drawings and work instructions; design tooling/fixtures; and support production with hands‑on troubleshooting on the floor, not just from a desk. You’ll interact weekly with customers (email/chat/meetings) and partner daily with Planning, Quality, and Production Supervisors in a fast‑paced environment where new orders often need to be production‑ready within one week.
What you’ll do:
- Adheres to Viant’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.Â
- Interacts with all levels of the organizations to ensure that all necessary procedures and processes are in place.
- Plans, organizes, and manages related projects and staff as appropriate.
- Functions as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area of assignments.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or total project of moderate scope.
- Independently performs assignments, receiving instruction only regarding general expected results.
- Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
- Investigates, develops and implements new process technologies of moderate scope.
- Performs other functions as required
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace, or metal processing strongly preferred).
- Experience in precision machining and/or metal processing (required)
- Experience with SolidWorks proficiency (design, modeling, drawings)
- Experience with hands on CNC Programming (required)
- Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) including prototypes, design for manufacturability, and production readinessÂ
- Experience and knowledge with statistical systems as Minitab for statistical analysis
- Experience Oracle
- Experience with continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment, including:
- Designing and testing equipment
- Implementing process improvements
- Writing technical specifications
- Troubleshooting issues related to efficiency, scrap, and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead/create equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable); diagnose and solve equipment issues tied to efficiency, scrap, and quality.
- Advanced Minitab (MSA, SPC) and DOE (screening/optimization/confirmation) capability.
- Deeper experience with ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA, Lean, PFMEA, Oracle (or equivalent), RCA, NPI, PM, OPEX/CI, capital projects, ROI analysis, and direct customer collaboration across prototypes/design/issues/delivery.

We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $95k-$115k. Â Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
