Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician- IPT Support - 1st Shift.Â
The hourly rate for this position is $31.55 - $36.80 per hour.
The shift hours are 7am - 3:30pm.

What you’ll do:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - IPT Support will support manufacturing operations by assisting in the development, implementation, and optimization of production processes. This role will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality, and Production teams to improve efficiency, ensure product quality, and maintain safe, reliable manufacturing systems. The technician will help troubleshoot equipment and process issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with documentation, testing, and validation activities on the production floor. In this function you will:Â
•   Support Manufacturing Engineers in developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes and work instructions
•   Assist with equipment setup, tooling changes, and process validation activities
•   Collect, analyze, and document production data to support process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
•   Collaborate with Quality Engineering to investigate nonconformances (NCRs) and implement corrective actions (CA)
•   Support root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
•   Assist with material flow, layout optimization, and ergonomic improvements on the shop floor
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•   Associates degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment OR High School diploma (or equivalent) and 5 years related mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment. Â

Preferred Qualifications/Technical knowledge:
•   Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience in manufacturing. Â
•   Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.
•   Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
•   Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
•   Understanding of process flow, cycle times, takt time, and throughputÂ
•   Familiarity with process validation and qualification conceptsÂ
•   Setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of production equipmentÂ
•   Experience in problem solving techniques (5 Why, 8D)
•   Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
•   Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs) and routing documentation
•   Knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe work practices
