CNC Machinist

1^st shift, 6:30AM – 3:00PM, Monday – Friday

Hourly rate $18.50 - $35 DOE

Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

RESPONSIBILITY:

Set up, program, and operate CNC machines such as lathe or mill, to machine parts to specification.

JOB DUTIES:

Analyze each job for proper selection of fixturing, cutting parameters, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, programming requirements, and quality control of finished part.
Operation of in-house CAD/CAM system to program various CNC machines.
Perform all machine maintenance.
Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and gage blocks.

Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Three (3) years to five (5) years related experience and/or training.
Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of CNC programming and general machining principles, including the use of gages and measurement devices typical of this skill level and experience.
