Zion Mountain Ranch is an elevated sanctuary just 3 miles from the East Entrance of Zion National Park, set on a roaming bison preserve. Job Summary:Ā 

Ā 

As a Server at Cordwood Restaurant,Ā you will provide exceptional diningĀ experiencesĀ for our guests.Ā You willĀ be responsible forĀ delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-pacedĀ restaurant environment, ensuring guest satisfaction, and upholding theĀ lodge’sĀ standards of hospitality.Ā (Seasonal working dates: Date of Hire through November 1st)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Ā Greet and welcome guests warmly uponĀ their arrivalĀ at the restaurant.Ā 

  • Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer questionsĀ regardingĀ food and beverage offerings.Ā 

  • TakeĀ accurateĀ food and drink orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen.Ā 

  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring the highest quality standards.Ā 

  • Monitor guest dining experience, checking in regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.Ā 

  • Clear tables andĀ assistĀ with resetting andĀ maintainingĀ cleanliness throughout the dining area.Ā 

  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensureĀ timelyĀ andĀ accurateĀ food preparation and service.Ā 

  • Communicate effectively with other servers, bartenders, and management to coordinate service and address guest needs.Ā 

  • Upsell menu items, including specials and beverages, to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.Ā 

  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, processing payments and providingĀ changeĀ as necessary.Ā

  • Ā Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. RV space with hook ups are available at no cost for employees, limited employee housing at no cost is available on-siteĀ and commuting fromĀ the local vicinity is also acceptable.Ā Ā 

  • Due to the nature of our business,Ā Zion Mountain Ranch is open every day. You must be prepared toĀ workĀ a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Ā 

  • Ability to get along well with people, be honest,Ā punctualĀ and reliable.Ā 

  • Ability to remain calm and friendly.Ā 

  • Ability to physically work as a Restaurant Staff member.Ā Ā Ā 

  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.Ā 

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.Ā 

  • CurrentĀ UtahĀ Food Handlers Certification CardĀ requiredĀ 

  • TIPs or Responsible Beverage Service equivalentĀ required.Ā (Must be 21 years of age to serve alcohol in the state of Utah)

  • Minimum 1 year food and beverage experienceĀ required.Ā
