Summary:
The primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and timely transport for patients In addition to basic transportation functions, the incumbent is required to communicate in a professional manners with the following: residents, medical/nursing staff, and family members..

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of the ambulette (wheelchair van) which includes: clients are properly secured with appropriate restraints, seat belts, and that wheelchair is locked appropriately.
  • Ambulette Attendant is responsible for client’s comfort – to ensure client is comfortable during transport (van temperature is appropriate, blankets are available, etc)

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write and understand written instructions.
  • Certified in Basic First Aid
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current Ohio Driver’s license
  • STNA license higlhly preferred
  • Comply with all safety related guidelines/protocols as it relates to patient transportation.
