Position Summary:
 As a Logistics Associate, you will provide support to all logistics-related activities within the organization: shipping, receiving, coordinating outside processing, inventory management, and understanding regulatory requirements associated with freight. You will work closely with our current shipping and receiving associate to package products for shipment, receive incoming shipments, inspect them for damage, and verify order accuracy against purchase orders and shipping documents. The Logistics Associate will also assist with inventory management and help coordinate outgoing and incoming shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company truck for deliveries and pickups (Class C license required; we will help you obtain this if needed)
- Coordinate all aspects of shipment preparation for Freight (LTL and truckload) shipments, including verifying that the names and quantities of packaged items match the shipping documents prior to loading, and verifying that all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transitÂ
- Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts or other records
- Checking for damaged goods prior to accepting shipment
- Work collaboratively with the shipping/receiving associate to coordinate outgoing and incoming shipments
- Prepare and maintain records of goods shipped and received (bills of lading, manifests, etc.)
- Coordinate outside processing shipments by communicating with shop supervisors and vendors and monitoring the status of ordersÂ
- Lift heavy equipment and materials as needed
- Contribute to a dynamic team environment by taking on additional responsibilities and support other tasks as needed to help us deliver exceptional service
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to work Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to work early/late hours, and overtime if necessary
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
