Airway Intelligence Center Technician

Job Description

Job Summary: The Airway Intelligence Center Technician is responsible for fabricating oral appliances and bulk amounts of 3D Axial Springs for the company and partnering dental laboratories. This position works to ensure that the dental laboratory work is of the highest quality to meet the needs of VIP Doctors, as well as patients. This is a hands-on position, with necessary attention to detail and skill in dental and orthodontia appliance creation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fabricates orthodontic and dental appliances.
  • Fabricates bulk quantities of 3D Axial springs to supply our partnering dental laboratories.
  • Reads and reviews RXs to determine which type of design is to be constructed.
  • Documents steps by completing reports, forms, records, and logs.
  • Maintains a daily average production.
  • Adheres to schedules and due times.
  • Works with various materials such as wire, acrylic, plaster, and wax.
  • Utilizes various equipment including lathes, handpiece, and pliers.
  • Works directly with other technicians to ensure appliance quality and production times.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong proficiencies with working with various orthodontic materials 
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to be extremely effective independently
  • Adaptable and flexible; able to handle various competing demands
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis is helpful but not required at time of hire
  • Communication Skills
  • Eye for detail and communication skills are a must

Requirements

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous dental lab experience a plus
  • Experience in the Dentistry a plus
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Good manual dexterity with an affinity for fine detail and repetitive movement
  • Prolonged sitting or standing
  • Safely work with chemical compounds (adhesives, acrylics, plasters, elastics-latex)
  • Lifting and storage of materials up to 50 pounds
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to read and follow oral and written instructions (in English)
