Summary:

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations at our Pressed Floral shop. This role requires a strategic leader who can coordinate with the Design, Fulfillment, Preservation, and Reorder & Recreations departments. The GM will provide leadership, quality control, and operational support while ensuring processes align with the company’s core values and brand identity. Key Performance Indicators include, but are not limited to ratio performance, quality, and client reviews. 


Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and inspire department managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Hold regular meetings to ensure alignment on projects and company goals.
  • Provide feedback and development opportunities to team members.
  • Manage workloads, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met with quality.


Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth processes across all departments.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and maintain quality.
  • Adjust staffing plans to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Assist in inventory management levels, collaborating with inventory teams to ensure your location is well taken care of and has materials stocked to maintain efficiency 
  • Analyze and monitor budgets and spending of your direct lines 


Quality Control & Performance Management

  • Establish and enforce quality control standards across all departments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness.
  • Provide feedback to staff to drive continuous improvement.


Performance & Process Optimization

  • Identify and implement strategies to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Manage departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and other General Managers to improve processes and ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with all teams necessary in innovating and strategizing company production. 
  • Ensure the artistic vision is executed in collaboration with the Branding and Product & Client Experience teams.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain high-quality materials for production.
  • Work with HR to address conflicts within teams or with external partners.


Facility & Building Maintenance

  • Ensure the location is well-maintained, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Optimize workspaces for productivity and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Communicate and coordinate with outside contractors, including lawn care and snow removal vendors, to ensure timely and quality service.
