This is a grave shift position and will close 8/31/2026. Training for this position will be on day shift.



US Synthetic has an immediate need for a Brady CNC Team Lead located in Orem, UT. The Brady CNC Team Lead will provide day-to-day coaching and leadership to production or training cell operators. Plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, increase team members’ skills and capabilities, and recommend improvements in production methods, training methods, equipment operation procedures, and working conditions. Oversee and train all operators and step in to assist production when needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Respond to and provide minor repairs for CNC equipment
  • Package, ship, and track shipments
  • Receive and inventory vendor shipments
  • Work with engineers to create new products and processes
  • Conduct shift start-up/end of shift meetings using production boards
  • Respond to production interruptions dealing with quality, cost, safety, delivery and people Update and manage production boards hourly/daily
  • Facilitate and encourage team to submit and implement continuous improvement ideas per company standard
  • Create and manage manpower plans, filling in where needed for absent crew members or per production demands
  • Participate in strategic teamwork
  • Manage training folder: ensure training materials (i.e. Critical Knowledge, Job Breakdown Sheets) are up to date and train team members accordingly
  • Ensure team members are following training materials
  • Oversee all production on shift
  • Coach and develop all team members and teach them Lean principles
  • Key Performance Indicators and Lead Indicator Metrics
  • Follow and update daily Standard Work
  • Perform Safety, 5S and Quality audits weekly
  • Participate in Tier meetings with supervisor daily; participate in KPI meetings
  • Work extra hours and some Saturdays as needed
  • Apply PDCA methodology
  • Manage internal inventory levels through Kanban
  • Participate in and conduct monthly one-on-ones
  • Respond to Andon and help resolve manufacturing issues concerning customer specific product, process changes and process improvement
  • Follow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus, Illegal Drug & Alcohol, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Appearance, Personal Electronic Devices, Vacation & Personal Time, etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED is required
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Stand for long periods of time up to 8 hours
  • Lifting, kneeling, squatting and twisting
  • Occasionally lift/ move up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of Safety Equipment (Face shield, Steel-toed boots, Latex/nitrile gloves, Safety glasses, Hearing protection, Respirator)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of one-year related experience
  • Computer skills (Power Point, Outlook, Word, Excel, or equivalent)
