Job Summary: The R&D NIL Stamp Engineer is responsible for NIL master treatment, storage and care, as well as all aspects of the NIL stamp making process including characterization and control of critical success factors troubleshooting and process improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Become the resident expert at stamp making
- Build systems to track and monitor stamp making data
- Limits or process controls
- Own Equipment servicing and work with maintenance to setup and optimize PM schedules
- Build a stamp making traveler or equivalent and make a tracking available to those waiting for stamps
- Make a locked down process including inventory and control all chemicals and equipment
- Determine and specify chemicals needed and the qualified versions that are production released
- Document tool recipes
- Troubleshoot and permanently resolve and all stamp issues
- Set up a stamp quality check system and feed back to evaluate the performance of each stamp made as a means to drive and monitor progress on improvements
- Work closely with the NIL tool vendor and build off of their BKMs and well as driving improvements within MOXTEK
- Improve and/or develop new and improved stamp making and master treatments, characterization & metrology, and controls acceptable to be put into a production environment.
- Manage projects from initial concept and technology demonstration, thru development, and transitioning to manufacturing, including internal & external qualification and other managed/gated design development processes.
- Create initial operating procedures, FMEA's, and other documentation.
- Perform, analyze and implement results of Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize processes.
- Train techs/production operators on new operating procedures for stamp making and masters.
Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science, or related field.
- 4+ years working experience on NIL and/or stamp making
- Experience working in a clean room, including knowledge of general IC processing.
Competencies:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. JMP preferred, including DOE and data analysis.
- Knowledge of optics is a plus.
