Your goals and objectives include:

  • Plan and facilitate therapeutic recreation programs that support patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
    Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and contribute to the development and achievement of patient treatment goals.
  • Developing effective treatment plans and working toward safe discharge planning (avg length of stay = approx. 6 - 10 days)
  • Working with patients who have experienced past or current trauma, symptoms of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and substance use
  • Providing strong family support and case management skills

Qualifications

Your Qualifications and Requirements will include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, or a related field required.
  • Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential required and must be maintained in good standing.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain any state-required licenses, certifications, or registrations.
  • Experience providing therapeutic recreation services in a behavioral health, psychiatric, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • ABILITY TO SOME WORK WEEKENDS (SAT & SUN from 9am - 5pm)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, time management, and crisis intervention.
  • Keep current with continuing education requirements for Utah licensure.
