US Synthetic has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician III with CNC service experience located in Orem, UT. The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing advanced repairs on equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems. This role includes conducting preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime and contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.

What You Will Do:
- Perform preventative maintenance on a large variety of machines and equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting with machine issues on down-calls and repair equipment per machine schematics whether mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic machines and presses
Respond to work orders to improve production capacity or flow and minimize waste- Perform machine moves for existing and new machines depending on demand
- Design and perform upgrades on machines with teams
- Train others to maintenance responsibilities as needed; direct and train production employees in Total Production Maintenance (TMP) efforts
- Follow LOTO procedures and use a multimeter in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems

- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean orderly work area (5S)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of higher education degree or certificate(s) in Maintenance related fields i.e. AET, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, etc. and/or 15 years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair of industrial machines
- High school diploma/GED is required
- Valid Driver’s License

- Understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics and utilize when performing maintenance repairs

Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Climb and work from ladders, platforms and machinery
- Full range of body motion, i.e. lifting, kneeling, squatting and twisting
- Use of Safety Equipment (Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes, Hearing protection, occasionally wear a respirator)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including the application of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method, with the ability to think critically and assess cause-and-effect relationships during down-calls.
- Advanced root cause analysis
- Mechanical and electrical control and motor experience
- Ability to organize priorities and manage multiple tasks at once
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of three phase and single-phase power systems
- Basic computer and math skills
- Clear and concise writing skills
- Detail oriented
Capable of certifying operating overhead crane, fork truck and scissor lift- Independent worker, self-motivated and works well with little supervision
- Ability to complete projects with accurate documentation and repairs

- Machinist training
- Associates of Applied Science in Machine Controls or Robotics
- Equipment experience with
- Doosan CNC lathes
- Haas CNC machines
- Okuma CNC lathes and machining centers
- ANCA CNC tool and cutter grinders
- FANUC EDM equipment
- CNC equipment utilizing FANUC controls
