Job Specifications: The Assistant Principal of Instruction, under the direction of the School Principal and in partnership with the Consortium Education Leadership Team, provides leadership and support for instructional programs, teacher development, academic systems, and student achievement efforts across the campus. This role works collaboratively with staff, students, and families to promote high-quality instruction, continuous improvement, and a positive learning environment for all students. Job Responsibilities: Instructional Leadership & Academic Achievement •   Support the Principal in leading and monitoring high-quality instructional practices across the campus. •   Ensure classroom instruction is aligned to Florida Standards, adopted curriculum, consortium instructional expectations, and school improvement goals. •   Collaborate with teachers and instructional leaders to strengthen Tier 1 instruction and improve student achievement outcomes for all student groups. •   Utilize student performance data, classroom observations, and progress monitoring tools to identify instructional strengths, gaps, and next steps. •   Support implementation of evidence-based intervention, acceleration, and enrichment systems to address student learning needs. •   Monitor instructional effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts to minimize achievement gaps. Teacher Development & Coaching •   Conduct classroom walkthroughs and observations and provide timely, actionable feedback to instructional staff/document in Bullseye. •   Support the implementation of the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) and consortium instructional expectations. •   Assist with the development, coaching, support, and retention of effective instructional personnel. •   Collaborate with school leadership and teacher leaders to develop and implement meaningful professional learning opportunities aligned to campus needs. •   Support mentoring and onboarding of new instructional staff. •   Assist in identifying and developing teacher leaders and instructional capacity across the campus. Data, MTSS & School Improvement •   Support campus MTSS processes, including analysis of academic and behavioral data to inform intervention planning and student supports. •   Utilize progress monitoring systems and assessment data to guide instructional decision-making and monitor student growth. •   Collaborate with the Principal and instructional teams to develop, implement, and monitor School Improvement Plan goals and action steps. •   Assist with analysis and communication of academic performance data to staff and stakeholders. Assessment & Instructional Systems •   Support implementation of consortium and state assessment programs, including progress monitoring and instructional data reviews. •   Collaborate with instructional staff to ensure appropriate use of assessment data to improve teaching and learning. •   Assist in monitoring instructional schedules, instructional groupings, and related academic systems to maximize student learning opportunities. School Culture & Collaboration •   Promote a positive, student-centered school culture focused on high expectations, inclusion, and academic success. •   Build collaborative and trusting relationships with teachers, families, students, and stakeholders. •   Maintain visibility throughout the campus and support a safe, respectful learning environment. •   Support effective communication with families regarding student progress, instructional initiatives, and school expectations. •   Serve as a member of the school leadership team and support campus-wide goals and initiatives. General Leadership Responsibilities •   Assist with hiring, onboarding, supervision, and evaluation of instructional personnel, as appropriate. •   Participate in leadership meetings, professional development, and consortium initiatives. •   Support implementation of consortium instructional priorities and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Some perks to being a UCP Team Member may include: health insurance (free option after the first year), dental insurance options, free life insurance, paid time off, discounted on-site childcare, 403B/Retirement match, short & long term disability, and support in continuing your education.QualificationsEducation and Training: (or equivalent) •   Masters Degree – Elementary,  Exceptional Education, Ed Leadership or Curriculum & Instruction. •   Certification: Florida Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate •   Strongly prefer Education Leadership (or in process) Minimum Experience: •   Strongly preferred previous experience as an Assistant Principal, School Principal, or similar instructional leadership role. •   Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a school leadership position such as Dean, Team Lead, Instructional Coach, or similar role. •   Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. •   Experience coaching, developing, and supporting instructional staff. •   Preferred experience working within a public school or charter school system. •   Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention systems, and data-driven instructional practices. •   Demonstrated ability to analyze student performance data and support continuous academic improvement efforts. •   Demonstrated success establishing goals, implementing action plans, and achieving measurable results. •   Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. •   Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, families, and stakeholders. •   Results-oriented, flexible thinker willing to do “whatever it takes” to support student success.
