Assistant Supervisor

An Assistant Supervisor provides support to daily production operations. Helps coordinate the resources needed to achieve operational goals while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards and provide guidance to production employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day operations monitoring progress to ensure quality and efficiency; revising schedules to meet deadlines; resolving problems and driving continuous improvement.
- Act as a point of contact during the supervisor’s absence.
- Promptly reports injuries for timely diagnoses and medical treatment. Assist in resolving any safety concerns or incidents.
- Responsible for food safety; by following and enforcing the GMP’s and food safety procedures.
- Assist in providing Summary production Key performance Indicators and reports at the end of the shift.
- Monitors inventory levels and notify supervisors of material shortages.Â
- Coordinates with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement and other departments to minimize production disruptions.Â
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- All employees will help keep a sanitary work environment.Â
- All employees must comply with all good manufacturing practices. Such as (wearing hairnets, beard nets, no jewelry, no food in warehouse, no gum or candy, etc.)Â
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Â
- Availability to work four days a ten to twelve (10 – 12) hours shifts or working five days eight to ten hours shifts from Monday to Fridays and overtime hours as needed. Availability of working on Saturdays as per the department schedule. This is a second shift.
- Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems, such as: Red Zone and Parity.
- Must be able to work in Hot and Cold environments.
- Must be able to work in noisy areas.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience within a production/product management capacity, with at least one year in a lead role.
- Knowledge of production systems such as Red Zone and Parity.
- Utilize knowledge and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills that are necessary to work in a customer-focused working environment.

- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
