Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:


• Delight our guests: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special
• Prepare banquet space with care: Complete table and chair set up according to the requirements for each function
• Ensure a clean and inviting space: Clean and prep banquet rooms, ensuring all walls and surfaces are spotless 
• Monitor the room: Keep the banquet area clean, and promptly address spills, discarded service items, and other issues to ensure an 
exceptional guest experience

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

A Banquet Set Up Attendant serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Previous experience in banquet set-up, housekeeping, food and beverage, event operations, or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb, and move furniture and equipment for extended periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, and event specifications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent Hilton in a positive manner
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and proper equipment handling+

     

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience in a large hotel, convention center, resort, or conference facility
  • Experience setting up banquet rooms for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events
  • Familiarity with banquet equipment, staging, dance floors, risers, and audiovisual support requirements
  • Bilingual communication skills
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and event execution standards
