Essential Job Functions:
- Setup and Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, washing, peeling chopping, and storing food.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, food preparation checklist and number of covers served, check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers and other equipment.
- Clean and sanitize back of the house, including but not limited to trash removal, equipment, countertops, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes
- Cleaning, setup, service and breakdown of Food and Beverage in meeting rooms, according to Banquet Event Orders
- Deliver orders to guestrooms as requested
Qualifications and Requirements
- 1 Year of Line Cook experience required
- Food Safety Certificate preferred
- The employee is required to stand, walk, for prolonged periods of time
- Must use hands to perform food preparation and sanitation responsibilities
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch to restock, store and clean
- Must have good near and far vision, including ability read and interpret written instructions/directions
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- Ability to distinguish smells
- Duties mainly performed indoors
- Must be able to hear, moderate noise level
