This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with strong networking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.    Responsibilities  Business Development & Sales: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research. Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company goals and revenue objectives. Generate qualified leads, conduct presentations, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to achieve and exceed sales targets.  Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across target industries. Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client challenges, identifying business needs, and recommending customized solutions. Foster long-term partnerships that promote customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.  Market Research & Strategy: Analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities within the Houston market to identify growth opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding emerging business opportunities, customer trends, and strategies to strengthen the company’s competitive position.  Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with operations, marketing, recruiting, and leadership teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and an exceptional customer experience. Collaborate on strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and account growth plans to maximize revenue and client engagement.  Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain an active sales pipeline and utilize CRM systems to document prospecting activities, opportunities, forecasts, and client interactions. Provide regular updates and reporting on sales performance, business development activities, and progress toward established goals.  QualificationsQualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Experience:  Minimum of 3–5 years of successful experience in business development, outside sales, account management, or a related role.  Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales, revenue, and client acquisition goals.  Experience developing and managing a sales pipeline from prospecting through contract execution.    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Knowledge of business development principles, sales strategies, and account management practices.  Understanding of market research techniques and competitive analysis.  Knowledge of contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development.  Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales reporting tools.  Understanding of key industries within the Houston market, including energy, manufacturing, logistics, industrial services, and construction.  Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship-building abilities.  Effective negotiation and closing skills.  Strong organizational and time-management skills.  Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.  Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.  Ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans that drive revenue growth.  Ability to build trust and establish credibility with clients, prospects, and business partners.  Ability to identify customer needs and develop customized solutions.  Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.  Ability to influence decision-makers and effectively communicate value propositions.  Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.  Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and market conditions.
