Stantec’s Site / Civil Engineering Land Development group is growing throughout Florida, and we are looking for “seller/doers” responsible for leading the pursuit and delivery of excellent work to our clients throughout the state of Florida.Â
Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Orlando, Florida has an opportunity for an experienced Business Lead to manage the Community Development business line in the greater Orlando area. This role will lead the civil/site engineering team and work with the already established Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Transportation teams in Orlando.Â
The Business Lead will be accountable for the top line and growth of Stantec’s market position in Central Florida, as well as providing innovative design solutions with exceptional quality and execution to the strong Landscape Architecture team currently within that same office.Â
You will also work together with other Civil Engineering leaders in the Tampa Bay area to provide operational, technical and people leadership to their Site / Civil Community Development teams, and continue our growth and success throughout Florida.
Your Key Responsibilities
Client Focus:
- Work with local leaders to drive the client relationship strategy and strong results across geographies and business lines.
- Lead and/or conduct business development efforts by developing project leads and securing contracts through a variety of client types.Â
- Responsible for implementing the marketing and business development (M&BD) plan for your office/practice.
- Increase visibility of Stantec by sharing our knowledge and innovation story through key client engagements to enhance our reputation and drive revenue.
Project Focus:
- Actively contribute to successful project execution and become involved at a hands-on level on projects utilizing Stantec’s project management best practices.Â
- Participate in major projects in key roles such as Subject Matter Expert or Independent Technical Reviewer, as required.
- Review of contracts, fees, and proposals on large pursuits and in coordination with other Community Development leaders and our internal risk management team.
People Leadership:
- Collaborate with local and business center leadership to ensure the proper staffing of all projects including needed hires, staff transitions, and labor sharing.
- Support the business center with developing, attracting, engaging, and retaining top talent.
- Support the overall talent management lifecycle including career development, employee engagement, succession planning, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
