MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Â Â
- Manage and train the maintenance staff,Â
- Maintain all safety policies and good housekeeping.Â
- Responsible for inventory control and purchasing of equipment, parts and maintain department budget.Â
- Responsible for supervising repairs and maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, boilers, compressors, conveyors, and other equipment.Â
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair equipment, inspections, and preventative maintenance.Â
- Required to troubleshoot, install minor equipment, analyze and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults, including compressed air operated machines with little supervision.Â
- Able to read blueprints and electrical/electronic schematics.Â
- Order parts by cross-referencing to local vendors.Â
- Ensure that PMs, minor fine tuning of laundry systems, and major project work are completed efficiently and in a timely basis.Â
- Plans, organizes, and controls functions and activities of plant operations and building renovations.Â
- Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies, and procedures.Â
- Monitors work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel.Â
- Periodically evaluate the performance of staff, recommending appropriate action such as promotions, disciplinary issues, and terminations.Â

QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Â Â
- Five years or more of management and industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering highly desirable but not required.
- Strong leadership skills, proactive, decisive, problem solver able to think outside the box to create strategies in a changing environment with no supervision.Â
- Strong work ethic, highly independent and goal oriented.Â
- Safety metrics is to be the highest priority. Â
- Flexible schedule including days/nights, weekends, and holidays.
Computer / Technical Skills / Job Specific Skills:Â Â
- Computer literate. Basic to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft 365.
- Able to read blueprints and schematics.Â
- Comprehensive knowledge of overall department functionsÂ
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-  Motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Â
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
