Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a team of foremen, lead persons, electricians, and helpers by identifying their strengths and weaknesses
- Mentor and educate team members, fostering the development of new talent by prioritizing drive and potential over experience
- Motivate the team while holding them accountable, creating a positive and productive work environment
- Communicate clearly and effectively to align the team with project goals and expectations
- Oversee the execution of the project in compliance with construction codes, project specifications, and safety standards
- Plan work ahead to minimize inefficiencies and eliminate the need for daily material orders
- Develop a miscellaneous material buyout plan at the start of the project to manage procurement efficiently and reduce purchase orders
- Track and manage labor hours, production, and material usage to ensure budget compliance
- Collaborate closely with the Material Coordinator to manage material releases and backorders
- Maintain accountability for all company tools and equipment, minimizing shrinkage through effective management and oversight
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in construction or commercial electrical industries
- Demonstrated expertise in planning work, man-loading activities, and tracking productivity, with a strong track record of aligning field operations with project budgets and schedules
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and construction management software for labor tracking, manpower forecasting, and material management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a patient and coaching oriented approach to mentoring and developing field teams
- High school diploma required; relevant trade certifications or training preferred
- Advanced experience in creating and managing labor tracking systems, manpower forecasts, and detailed work plans, such as three-week look-ahead schedules, to optimize project efficiency
- Proven ability to use spreadsheets to monitor productivity and man-loading with precision
- Familiarity with BIM and as-built documentation
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Primarily field-based
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate construction sites for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to travel locally to project sites as needed
