Purpose:
Under the direction of the Compliance Manager, the Export Compliance Coordinator supports Ravago Americas' businesses by ensuring transactions comply with U.S. export regulations, sanctions requirements, and internal policies. This role serves as a trusted resource to multiple business units and legal entities, providing guidance on export controls, restricted party screening, export documentation, EEI filings, and other trade compliance requirements while helping mitigate risk and support business operations.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:
Performance must reflect the appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
1. Export Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
a. Monitor and review export transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, and company policies.
b. Review, file, and audit Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance when required.
c. Utilize ACE reports, internal databases, and analytical tools to identify compliance risks, errors, trends, and corrective actions.
d. Conduct denied party, sanctions, and restricted party screening in accordance with U.S. foreign policy, export control.
e. Escalate potential compliance concerns and support investigations, corrective actions, and risk mitigation efforts.
f. Maintain compliance records and documentation in accordance with regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
2. Trade Compliance Support & Advisory
a. Serve as a subject matter resource for export compliance inquiries across multiple business units and legal entities.
b. Provide guidance on Incoterms, export documentation, Schedule B descriptions, country-of-origin considerations, and export procedures.
c. Assist in evaluating complex transactions involving international customers, distributors, freight forwarders, and third-party intermediaries.
d. Support compliance reviews involving sanctions, export controls, end-use concerns, and other trade- related risks.
3. Compliance Governance
a. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of export compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
b. Participate in compliance assessments and periodic audits to evaluate program effectiveness and identify enhancement opportunities.
c. Support regulatory updates and help implement process changes to address evolving export compliance requirements.
d. Contribute to the company's overall compliance culture through education, awareness, and proactive risk management.
4. Training & Stakeholder Engagement
a. Deliver compliance training when required and awareness programs to employees across multiple functions.
b. Build collaborative relationships with Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, etc.
c. Act as a liaison between business operations and Compliance to facilitate efficient and compliant business processes.
5. Additional Responsibilities
a. Support special compliance projects and strategic initiatives.
b. Perform other duties as assigned.

9. Experience developing, maintaining, and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance controls, and operational processes.
10. Commitment to fostering an effective, efficient, collaborative, and positive team environment.
11. Strong attention to detail, demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
12. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Certifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
2. 3+ years of experience in Export Compliance, International Trade Compliance, Customs Compliance, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
