SAIC has an opportunity for a Facility Security Officer, to be appointed as the site FSO in Orlando, FL. The FSO will report directly to the regional Security Manager and indirectly to local program leadership. Ā
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and completion of security audits and government inspections.
- Routinely operates within these databases - JPAS/SIMS/NISS/DISS.
- Processes personnel security clearances; verify visitor clearances, COMSEC, CAC Re-verifications, etc.
- Implements visitor control and certifications for visitors to customer sites.
- Ensure proper handling of classified materials. Coordinates and transmits document control as directed; receipt/dispatch.
- Prepares and conducts program briefings associated with executed NDAs.ć
- Reviews documents for proper classification markings.ć
- Supports meetings to ensure compliance with administrative security safeguards.ć
- Supports security processing - courier, scheduling, tracking, and facilitating personnel inquiries and investigations. Ā
- Perform general clerical duties as required.
- Ensure facility compliance with all security policies and directives.ć
- Liaison with customer and subcontractor security offices on security issues.
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and six (6) years or more related experience, Masters degree and four (4) years or more related experience.
- Additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Must be a US Citizen with a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain the FSO certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Previous experience as a FSO supporting programs, managing/handling clearances and other similar tasks.
- Must have minimum of 5 years of security administration experience.Ā
- Must have experience with DoD Community organizations.ć
- Must be exceptional organizational skills, effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Must have expert skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and Outlook (email, calendars).ć
- Must be responsive to deadlines and completeness in accomplishing assignments.
- Must have a "Can do" attitude, able to work with many types of people.Ā
- Must be a skillful communicator.
