Joining the Apple GPU group means you’ll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple’s devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. In this role, you will be leading block and sub-system level pre-silicon RTL verification of embedded graphics cores. You will also collaborate with members of other disciplines and top validation teams to ensure that system level concerns are baked into our verification flows, and that our IPs are efficiently integrated into the full system.

Description


As a Senior Graphics Core Hardware Verification Engineer, you will be tasked with the following: - Lead teams of engineers in delivering well-verified IP. - Collaborate with architecture, design and modeling teams to converge on design specification. - Develop and drive verification plans, schedules and reviews. Architect test benches using advanced OOP, UVM and vertical reuse techniques. - Drive techniques to detect difficult design bugs such as cross-block deadlock and livelock. - Provide technical mentorship to early career engineers on DV methodology and conduct code reviews. - Deploy Formal Verification techniques to complement simulation flows. - Build automated verification flows such as ML-assisted coverage closure for graphics core verification. - Collaborate with peer IP, SW, and top DV teams to ensure that all validation aspects are accounted for.

Minimum Qualifications


Experience leading design verification teams. Cross-functional (arch, u-arch, design, DV, SW) collaboration experience to converge on design/DV requirements. Experience in Computer Architecture and Memory sub-system micro-architecture. Experience in architecting and building constrained random, coverage driven test benches. BS +10 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications


Experience mentoring early career engineers. Familiarity in GPU architecture and standards (OpenGL/CL, Vulcan, Metal). Experience with performance analysis and optimization techniques. Knowledge of power management techniques in GPUs. Familiarity with machine learning and AI processing in GPU architectures. Experience with Formal Verification techniques and tools such as JasperGold.
