Job Summary: The Interventionist/Instructional Coach works directly with teachers, administrators, in coordinating the education delivery utilizing the Interventionist/Instructional Coach framework and provides technical assistance to ensure a continuum of service options with the UCP model framework.   This position is an on-campus position. Responsibilities: Coordinate and lead the MTSS Team (i.e. instructional data meetings), oversee data collection, assist in developing intervention plans, provide technical assistance to teachers/other faculty and identify/coordinate professional development. Provides direct instruction in small group intervention and or 1:1 Collaborates with the MTSS Team (i.e. instructional data meetings), oversee data collection, assist in developing intervention plans, provide technical assistance to teachers/other faculty and identify/coordinate professional development. Works and collaborates with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Team for: coaching, intervention, curriculum implementation; and data collection. Monitors interventionist and tutors via programing, implementation & training Ensures Implementation of evidence-based practices occurs. Ensures Integrity (fidelity) of the instructional practice is monitored; coaches and provides feedback that informs action toward implementation integrity. Model demonstration lessons, facilitate co-teaching, and engage in curriculum development focused on standards-based instruction and the Science of Reading. Keep abreast of best practices/developments in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and provide leadership in determining their appropriateness (and implementing if appropriate) for inclusion in UCP’s educational program through trainings and book studies. Planning and conducting staff development activities that focus on the use of reading instruction/intervention to enhance learning. Facilitate collaborative instructional planning. Collaborate with teachers to integrate research-based methodologies into the classroom through instructional Coaching using the UCP Instructional Coaching Model. Maintain, and assist teachers in maintaining, comprehensive documentation of student academic needs, interventions and progress through a well-documented coaching cycle. Performs other duties as assigned. Strong knowledge in MTSS process Knowledge of the Science of Reading Strong working knowledge of research based best practices in ELA, Reading, and Mathematics. Ability to apply research-based practices effectively and successfully in classroom lesson modeling for instructional support and or intervention. Strong understanding of student assessment and progress monitoring protocols as well as State of Florida assessment and student growth expectations. Ability to accurately collect, choose, and analyze student data to determine appropriate areas and strategies for academic intervention. Knowledgeable about student achievement and interventions to provide recommendations to Consortium leadership regarding effective programs, assessments, intervention plans, technology support, teacher needs, and professional development.
