He/she must have a strong focus on budgeting, expense tracking, and ensuring accurate billing process. The role includes user account maintenance, providing Tier 1 support across various systems, and overseeing billing and budget processes. This position plays a key role in driving cost-effective IT solutions while upholding high standards of operational performance. Position Requirements Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Information Technology or related field. Microsoft Certified Software Engineer preferred. Understanding networks and hotel applications is an asset. Experience with IT asset management and ticket systems is a plus. Helpdesk/Desktop support experience a plus. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Responsibilities Manage and maintain technological equipment, including computers, mobile devices, and software systems. Manage payment invoices for clients for purposes of billing. Manage budgets and billing for all IT-related invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and service providers. Ability to work closely with finance to align technology expenditures with organizational objectives and managing internet requests and billing for Convention Center Groups. Review billing discrepancies and resolve issues to ensure accurate financial records. Generate sales quotes and help negotiate prices for meeting planners/conferences. Install, upgrade, and manage software and hardware. Provide training and support to users on hardware, software, and cloud-based services. Maintain core technology standards and best practices. Provide Tier 1/basic support for Windows, mobile devices, POS, and PMS systems. Oversee and coordinate internet requests and billing for convention center groups, ensuring accurate and timely processing and forecasting of internet revenue. Keep department documentation updated, including FAQs on helpdesk tickets. Maintain inventory of all technology devices. Identify and recommend new technologies to increase organizational efficiency. Handle user issues related to IT and escalate major problems to management. Record, prioritize, and dispatch ticket requests to appropriate personnel. Create and track IT-related bills and purchase orders. Run reports for various IT systems and help maintain PCI compliance. Education High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a large hotel environment preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in information technology or a related field. Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively in English, a second language, is a plus. Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment. Excellent administrative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks. Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends. Physical Requirements Sit at a desk for long periods of time continuously in front of a computer screen. Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
