Job DetailsJob Location: Orlando Division - Orlando, FL 32811JOB PURPOSE: To assist with the development of property and provide finished lots for home construction; assist The Land Development Department with engineering and operations of community land development. Duties and Responsibilities Assist The Land Development Department with the development of new and ongoing residential communities including: Working with civil engineers and planners to entitle and permit the work Solicit and evaluate bids, establish budgets and schedules, oversee development work Provide oversight to ensure quality, schedule and budget meet required standards Provide ongoing soil, erosion and sediments control oversight and documentation Work with Homeowner Associations (HOA’s) Work with community management companies/managers to resolve issues Attend annual HOA meetings Review and rule on Architectural Review submissions Oversee Community Manager efforts to ensure communities are run well Assist with managing the ongoing entitlement and bond requirements for owned properties for existing communities Renew/update permits as necessary Manage the bond release process (completing work, coordinating inspections, release bonds) Provide support to home building and new home sales teams Provide HOA documents and budget information as needed Evaluate and establish matrices providing lot fit and lot characteristics Provide support on all land-related questions and issues as needed Other duties as assigned QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and Skills High level of interpersonal skills – with the ability to professionally interact with customers, legislators, inspectors, contractors and industry leaders. Self-motivated, ambitious, organized with the ability to prioritize and function successfully with minimal direct supervision Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and can demonstrate drive and initiative to excel. Office level computer skills required – including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong analytical skills Valid driver’s license Education and Work Experience Exposure to residential homebuilding or land development environment preferred Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or construction management - or prior experience in home building and/or land development With degree 2 years experience or will consider equivalent work experience of 5 plus years in directly related industry
