This role will be supporting patients seeking assistance by handling inbound and outbound call attempts. They are responsible for reaching attempts required to establish initial contact, gather essential information, and guide potential patients or their loved ones through available resources.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of mesothelioma and related conditions, as well as the various treatments and support systems available. A compassionate, resourceful professional who is skilled at patient advocacy, navigating healthcare systems, and connecting individuals with the medical, legal, and financial assistance they need is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make multiple outbound call attempts to Facebook-generated leads in a timely manner.
  • Engage with potential patients or their family members to assess their needs and provide relevant information.
  • Document call outcomes, track follow-up attempts, and maintain detailed records in Salesforce.
  • Serve as a compassionate and knowledgeable first point of contact. 
  • Address questions and concerns with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Work closely with internal patient advocacy teams to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and confidentiality policies.
  • Participate in training to stay informed on industry trends, patient needs, and communication best practices.
  • Assist with engagement and content strategy for the Facebook support group.
  • Assist with email campaigns and communication for PAs.
  • Assist with SEO efforts for doctor and PA profiles.
  • Support webinar planning and execution.
  • Use Facebook Messenger via the Meso FB group to reach patients.
  • Contribute to outreach programs, including email campaigns, webinars, social media, and LinkedIn.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a patient advocacy, healthcare intake, customer service, or call center role preferred.
  • Strong phone communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Empathetic, patient-focused approach with an understanding of sensitive health-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment using online meeting platforms like Google Meet and Slack.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and online communication tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize patient needs effectively.
