Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tablet Operator in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors, staff, and guests. Using clear communication and technology, you will help create a positive environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit spaces, public areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and information, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
