Position Overview

The Night Shift Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both operating sweeping equipment and supervising night shift crews. This position ensures all sweeping and clean-up operations are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards. The Night Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining quality, accountability, and professionalism during overnight operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

Operate street sweeping equipment during scheduled night shift operations 

Supervise and coordinate other street sweeper operators and clean-up crews on the night shift 

Ensure all work is completed according to job requirements, schedules, and quality standards 

Enforce company policies, procedures, safety, dress code, and code of conduct consistently across all crews 

Serve as the primary night shift point of contact between field crews and dispatch/management 

Communicate scope of work, maps job changes, and expectations clearly to team members 

Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion and accurate job reporting 

Document performance issues, safety concerns, or operational challenges as they arise and report them to management 

Verify equipment readiness and report maintenance needs or incidents promptly 

Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and adherence to company standards 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Mechanically inclined to address mechanical failures throughout the shift 

Ability to work and manage others at the same time 

Supervisory or lead experience in field operations preferred 

Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred 

Strong leadership and communication skills 

Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment 

Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing multiple crews 

Strong understanding of safety practices and company policies
