JOB OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Operations Analysis is responsible for forecasting, analyzing, and financial modeling in support of the brand business objectives. In this role, the analyst is also responsible for developing proactive solutions and communicating potential impact on the overall business. Additionally, the analyst will work closely with Brand Operations and Brand Leadership to ensure business needs are met.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 

• Partner with Operations Leadership, Finance Leadership, and Restaurant Management teams to develop best practices that will deliver restaurant sales and earnings growth in support of brand financial commitments.  

• Provide financial oversight of divisional performance and ensure Business Plan targets are being achieved.

• Assist Divisional Vice Presidents and Directors in the development, implementation and monitoring of plans that improve restaurant earnings. This includes ensuring that waste management tools (A vs. T and Par/Pull) and labor productivity tools (LMS) are being used to their full potential.

• Analyze, identify, and communicate emerging trends and their impact, so action is prioritized appropriately.

• Identify and support restaurants that are not meeting their earnings potential through outlier identification and analysis.  

• Visit restaurants / markets, to gain insight related to specific initiatives that may be in test and/or proactively identifying opportunities and develop plans for improvement of controllable expenses for existing restaurants. 

• Leverage data analysis to determine the financial impact of proposed business initiatives.

• Prepare and coordinate various weekly, monthly and/or year-end analyses, and financial reports for management review.

• Provide ad hoc reports, analysis and participate in special projects as needed.


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an analytical role or restaurant operations

• Proven strong financial and analytical skills

• Proven spreadsheet and data retrieval skills

• Demonstrates the capability to build financial models and apply forecasting techniques with an emphasis on statistical analysis of economic and financial data

• Strong project management skills


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Finance or related field)

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Proven facilitation skills

• Proven experience with analyzing, prioritizing, and solving problems effectively

• Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and function effectively within a complex corporate environment.  

• Ability to adapt to changing business environments, solve problems and take advantage of improvement opportunities

• Sound judgment and decision making abilities.

• Professional curiosity and initiative to identify and present growth opportunities 

• Ability to carry out multiple complex projects with minimal supervision


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPIRENCE:

• MBA 

• Restaurant Operations Experience a plus
