An engineering firm that has been in business for decades is hiring a Structural Engineering Manager for their Orlando team!



Responsibilities:

  • Provide Project Managers with the resources needed to complete projects
  • Create work plans/estimates for specific disciplines
  • Ensure work product meets client requirements and company standards
  • Provide engineering/technical support
  • Execute company QA/QC process for structural engineering discipline
  • Ensure proper staffing levels/department utilization
  • Manage staff resources including annual reviews, timesheets and expense report approvals
  • Assist Human Resources on recruitment and training efforts
  • Assist with business development activities including preparing presentations
  • Participate in various trade organizations

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of structural design and project management experience (Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects)
  • PE License preferred
  • Strong knowledge of building codes
  • Proficient knowledge of standard construction practices
  • Experience addressing issues with contractors
  • Ability to manage several projects at once
  • Ability to mentor/train staff and promote career growth
  • Working knowledge of design/analysis software (Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, ADAPT)

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
