Job Description
As a Protector, you work with a team at job sites. No experience or degree is needed. Safety comes first—always. We train you. We support you. We help you build a career.Â
Your daily work includes:Â
Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment downÂ
Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activityÂ
Following all safety rules taught in trainingÂ
Communicating with your crew and supervisorÂ
Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safeÂ
Working outside all year, in all weatherÂ
Shifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be requiredÂ
You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shiftÂ
We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle.Â
Qualifications
Valid driver’s licenseÂ
Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periodsÂ
Able to lift 40–50 poundsÂ
Willing to work in traffic and changing weatherÂ
Flexible schedule;Â Show up on time, every shiftÂ
Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety sensitive job)Â
Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the timeÂ
Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respectÂ
Additional Information
Pay:Â
- Pay: $16.00–$16.75 per hour Â
- Overtime availableÂ
