The Florida Bar’s Lawyer Regulation Dept. —Orlando Branch has openings for hourly part-time Investigators. Ability to work independently required. Hourly rate: $29.00.Â
This position will cover all counties in Central Florida.
Duties Include:Â
- Locate and interview witnesses pursuant to TFB's investigation and prosecution of attorney discipline matters.Â
- Locate and review documents.Â
- Serve subpoenas.Â
- Prepare written memorandums of investigations for presentation to TFB counsel and grievance committees.Â
- Testify in TFB discipline prosecutions.Â
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Â
- Knowledge of: Investigative principles and techniquesÂ
- Skilled in: Windows; MS Word; MS Excel; Internet applications & Databases.Â
- Ability to: Manage and maintain a high level of confidentiality; Testify effectively; Travel statewide; Interpret policies and procedures; Prioritize, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; Operate well under pressure; Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Familiarize yourself with Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.

Qualifications Include:Â
- High School Diploma (or its equivalency).Â
- Prior law enforcement and/or investigative experience.
- Reliable transportation to travel as this position will be covering all counties in Central Florida.
 Preferences:
- Prior experience as an expert witness
- Bilingual-English/Spanish
