Job Summary
The Licensed Massage Therapist provides exceptional massage therapy services, creating a sense of rest and relaxation for spa guests. This role is part-time, with openings for mid-shift and closing hours, and contributes to high guest satisfaction, retention, and treatment/retail sales.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional massage treatments following company protocols.

  • Maintain revenue and guest retention goals for the massage department.

  • Provide guests with post-treatment home care recommendations.

  • Educate guests on spa services, retail products, packages, and promotions.

  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms according to spa standards.

  • Follow health, sanitation, and sterilization protocols as required by law and spa policies.

  • Attend departmental meetings, trainings, and workshops.

  • Perform services within the scope of state/city/local licensing laws.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid state license to practice massage therapy.

  • Completion of an accredited massage therapy school.

  • 12–18 months experience in a high-end resort or urban day spa preferred.

  • Ability to work part-time shifts, including mid-shift and closing hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong understanding of anatomy and massage techniques to safely and effectively treat guests.

  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.

  • Computer literacy is preferred.
