Job Description:

We are looking for Process Engineering Technician II to join our talented team in beautiful Laguna Niguel, CA.  As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:

  • Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing. 

  • Executes equipment installation qualifications.

  • Work with other technicians/operators to implement assembly techniques, inspection methods and required documentation. 

  • Work with engineers to streamline process to meet manufacturing build time and yield targets. 

  • Leverage previous methods/processes/equipment/tooling on new applications. 

  • Verify components meet specifications through benchtop, functional, and load testing. 

  • Work with engineers to generate draft work instructions, test methods, and visual standards. 

  • Supports process characterization by collecting and analyzing data. 

  • Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and company Operating Procedures: line clearance, work instructions, lot travelers, etc. 

  • Communicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvements. 

  • Maintain cleanliness of the work environment. 

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing (catheter assembly preferred) 

  • Demonstrated ability with typical processes/methods/equipment/tooling related to medical device manufacturing and inspection (catheter manufacturing preferred). 

  • Able to troubleshoot typical issues on existing processes/methods/equipment/tooling. 

  • Extremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitude. 

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand inspection requirements. 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Knowledge of medical device processing equipment and manufacturing processes (catheter manufacturing preferred). 

  • General knowledge of some of the following process: Braiding, Adhesive Bonding, Lamination, Die Bonding, Machining, Injection Molding, Laser Welding. 

  • Attention to detail, professional attitude, team player
