Position Overview:

Teddy Morse’s Destination Daytona is currently looking for a Bed Maker at the Clarion Inn in Daytona Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

• Strip all used linens from guest room beds, including sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, blankets, and mattress protectors (as required).
• Inspect mattresses, pillows, mattress pads, and bedding for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report issues to management.
• Replace all required linens with clean, sanitized linens during each guest checkout cleaning according to hotel standards.
• Properly make beds using the hotel's required bed-making procedures and presentation standards.
• Ensure fitted sheets are secure and wrinkle-free.
• Tuck flat sheets, blankets, and duvets according to brand standards.
• Place pillows in the correct order with clean pillowcases and decorative shams, if applicable.
• Verify the correct number and type of pillows are present.
• Ensure bedspreads, comforters, or duvets are clean, centered, and evenly arranged.
• Check for hair, lint, debris, or stains before completing the bed.
• Replace any stained or damaged linens immediately.
• Maintain consistency in bed appearance throughout the property.
• Follow all infection control, sanitation, and laundry handling procedures.
• Handle clean and soiled linens separately to prevent cross-contamination.
• Report missing or damaged linens to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Work efficiently to meet established productivity standards without sacrificing quality.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting and ergonomic practices.
• Communicate maintenance concerns (broken bed frames, damaged mattresses, loose headboards, etc.) promptly.
• Assist room attendants with bedding-related tasks when needed.
• Complete assigned rooms within expected time standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service or similar role.
• Must be able to lift and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• May be required to work varying schedules to include weekends, and holidays.
