For over 30 years, Sentinel Offender Services has provided community-based, offender-funded monitoring services across North America. Working with law enforcement, community corrections agencies and the court system, we provide customized offender management solutions that help to reduce recidivism and improve reentry success. These solutions combine electronic monitoring technology, alcohol and substance abuse testing, and community-based offender management programs.

Pay: $22.70 - $22.95/hr

Schedule:聽Monday - Thursday / 7:00AM - 5:00PM

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is the premiere cognitive-behavioral program for criminal justice offenders. MRT addresses beliefs and reasoning. It is a systematic, step-by-step group counseling treatment approach for treatment-resistant clients. 聽The program is designed to alter how clients think and make judgments about what is right and wrong. The MRT system approaches the problem of treating resistant populations as a problem of low levels of moral reasoning.

Job Expectations + Essential Functions

路 聽 Responsible for participant鈥檚 intake assessment, orientation

路 聽 Effectively communicates the program rules, regulations, requirements, and treatment plans.

路 聽 Provides face-to-face services to鈥痯articipants.

路 聽 Develop classroom MRT plans.

路 聽 Facilitate classes inside of the jail as well as classrooms outside of the locked facility.

路 聽 Develop and monitor the participants' progress through all phases of the program.

路 聽 Make appropriate referrals to outside agencies as necessary

路 聽 Maintain progress notes in participant files

路 聽 If applicable, administer required drug testing and or breathalyzer testing

路 聽 Advise Department鈥痮f participants that are not in compliance with their program requirements.

路 聽 Maintain an auditable case file for all participants under their management

Education

Bachelor鈥檚 degree preferred or聽Associated degree and聽2 years' experience in a related field.

Some knowledge of community services and聽criminal justice聽preferred

Other Requirements

Must successfully pass criminal background investigation, credit report and drug screening.

Minimum 21 years of age and pass the Department鈥檚 fingerprinting process for jail clearance.

Must complete MRT training course and pass certification test
