Salary:
FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.Â
Your responsibilities:
The Local Driver, working out of our Waynesburg, PA facility, reports to our Warehouse Supervisor, and is responsible for perform-ing warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks, as well as operate box trucks delivering finished goods (industrial lubricants & metalworking fluids) to our customers in a timely manner. Specific responsibilities include:
•   Loading and unloading freightÂ
•   Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for shipmentÂ
•   Performing final inspection/dock check on all outbound customer ordersÂ
•   Receiving and properly storing finished productÂ
•   Delivering drums, totes and small packed goods like 5 gallon pails and grease cases
•   If customer does not have a dock, driver must be able to operate manual pallet jack to offload pallets from the rear of truck (when applicable).Â
•   Compling with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break peri-ods) as well as with company policies and proceduresÂ
•   Reporting defects, accidents or violations immediatelyÂ
•   Maintaining a clean work environment and performing general warehouse upkeep/ maintenance.
Qualifications we are looking for:
•   High school education or equivalent
•   A valid CDL Class B license with HazMat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements\
•   Experienced with operation of fork trucks, and loading and unloading trucks.
•   At least 2 years' experience driving a CDL vehicle
•   Ability to meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
•   Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
•   Ability to read a map and accurately plan a route
•   Ability to follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision
•   Excellent communication skills with ability to read English and write legibly
•   Basic math skills required
•   Straight truck, box trailer and tanker experience a plus
•   Safety conscious
