Your Opportunity as the Senior Analytical Technician  

This role serves as a cornerstone for ensuring high‑quality products across Coffee, Consumer, Pet, and SBS businesses. It blends analytical mastery with hands-on problem‑solving, helping plants and R&D maintain consistency, safety, reliability, and compliance. The technician becomes a trusted go‑to partner for plants, co‑manufacturers, and R&D teams — a role that directly influences product performance and consumer satisfaction. There is travel (Approx. 5-15% on average per year) involved to assist with training, method implementation and troubleshooting at Coffee, Consumer, SBS, and Pet manufacturing sites.

 Location: Orrville, OH 

Work Arrangements: 100% Onsite Monday - Friday  

In this role you will:  

  • Routine analytical testing/reporting to support all plants, Research & Development, and co-manufacturers
  • Maintain International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 17025- accredited methods
  • Follow good laboratory and safety practices
  • Instrumentation care/upkeep (i.e. Ultra High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Ion Chromatography (IC), FT-NIR, NIR, titrators, lasers, etc.)
  • Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment and methods using Lab Management System
  • Consumer complaint evaluations
  • Micro general support

What we are looking for:  

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required Preferably in Chemistry/Biology or related field
  • Prior lab experience or internship is strongly preferred

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:  

  • Strong chemistry and mathematics background, statistical background a plus
  • Knowledge of the food industry desired
  • Microbiological experience is a plus
  • Hazardous Waste experience is a plus
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to a dynamic environment
  • Experience with UPLC, IC, GC desired
  • Self-motivated, high-energy level
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel (approx. 5 – 15%)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time is required
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion is required
