Job DetailsJob Location: Osborne, KS 67473OSBORNE COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL JOB DESCRIPTION   DEPARTMENT: Administration JOB TITLE: Seasonal Summer IT Assistant RESPONSIBLE TO: IT Coordinator / HR & Marketing Director POSITION: Part-Time, Temporary (Seasonal Summer Role)   SUMMARY: Provide part-time IT support services during the summer months by assisting the IT Coordinator with daily operations, user support, and help desk functions. This position supports the maintenance of hospital technology, assists staff with technical issues, and contributes to efficient and secure IT operations.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following, but is not limited to any other duties or tasks that may be assigned:   Support IT Coordinator and Daily Operations - Assist IT Coordinator with routine technology maintenance and projects - Provide support with onboarding tasks for new staff (account setup, workstation preparation, access assistance) - Help maintain accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and related resources - Assist with basic documentation and updates to "how-to" guides and user resources   Help Desk and User Support - Serve as first-level help desk support for hospital staff - Respond to and troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues - Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Coordinator as needed - Assist in maintaining logs of tickets, service requests, and completed work   System Setup and Maintenance - Assist with installation and setup of workstations, printers, and peripheral equipment - Support software updates, system checks, and routine maintenance tasks - Help organize and prepare equipment for deployment or disposal under supervision   User Access and Support Services - Assist with setting up user accounts and basic access permissions - Provide basic instruction and support to staff on common systems (Microsoft, Google, VPN, etc.) - Support remote access setup as directed by IT Coordinator   Security and Compliance Support - Follow hospital IT policies related to data security and confidentiality - Assist with ensuring proper handling and disposal of IT equipment - Support IT Coordinator with basic security monitoring and compliance activities   General Duties - Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism - Support IT-related needs for departments across the organization - Perform all other duties related to the support and promotion of OCMH as assigned QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred - Basic knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting - Previous customer service or help desk experience is a plus but not required   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required   LANGUAGE SKILLS: - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with hospital staff - Ability to provide friendly and responsive customer service - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions   REASONING ABILITY: - Ability to solve basic technical problems and recognize when to escalate issues - Ability to follow procedures and apply logical troubleshooting steps   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Frequent walking, standing, and use of hands to handle equipment - Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25–50 pounds - Occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching - Visual acuity required for working with computers and equipment   WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Typical office and healthcare environment - Occasional exposure to equipment and mechanical components - Moderate noise level   RESIGNATION A two-week notice of resignation is required to terminate employment in good standing.
