Job DetailsJob Location: 3321 COUNTY RD A - OSHKOSH, WI 54901Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: ManufacturingJob Summary The Blending & Canning Specialist is responsible for following a batch ticket to produce paints, coatings, inks, paper slurries, and other industrial solutions, following proper safety protocols. The Blending & Canning Specialist will set-up and operate machines and equipment to blend products and to fill an assortment of containers with finished products. Attention to detail, communication, and time management are key skills to successfully perform this position Responsibilities The requirements listed in the sections that follow are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform the duties of this job. Gather raw materials to weigh and measure by use of scales to ensure conformance to batch requirements Dump and pour materials into mixing vessel manually or by use of equipment Collect samples of work-in-process product for lab testing to ensure compliance with product specifications Add adjustment amounts of raw materials authorized by QC to work-in-process batches Provide a retain sample of the finished product to QC Set-up, operate, and tend blending and canning equipment Transfer finished product from mixing vessel to designated receptacle per the batch requirements, ensuring conformity of fill levels and accurate number and type of container Inspect labels, packaging, and containers for defects Ensure finished product is appropriately labeled and ready for shipment Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) to transport materials and products Record accurate usage of materials in batches with RF Scanner Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing clean up duties, such as sweeping, mopping, putting tools away, etc. Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus Must be able to follow instructions Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team setting Possess basic math and reading/ writing skills
