As a Hardware and Firmware Test Technician, you will perform hands-on system verification to ensure all user interfaces and machine functionalities align with rigid engineering and marketing design specifications. This critical role bridges the gap between software development and final product release, ensuring the highest standards of product reliability and compliance before market launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify that physical machine operations and firmware behaviors perfectly align with design specifications and product documentation.
- Execute simulation and scenario testing on both custom test boxes and functional prototype machinery.
- Document all testing activities meticulously, including exact steps, execution time, specific methods, and testing materials used.
- Identify and log software inconsistencies, firmware bugs, and hardware anomalies in the engineering issue tracking system.
- Maintain detailed progress logs and comprehensive reports regarding control board and machine validation cycles.
- Perform final validation testing prior to critical project design freezes and commercial manufacturing releases.
- Coordinate and assist with routine laboratory machine updates and test bench maintenance.
- Collaborate directly with firmware developers and software evaluators to clearly communicate technical issues and verify subsequent bug fixes.

- High school degree or equivalent is required; a technical certification or Associate degree in Electronics or a related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience or familiarity with engineering issue tracking systems, preferably YouTrack or GitHub.
- Proficiency with standard PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data organization and reporting.
- Strong ability to compile, organize, and present complex test data and technical findings to Product Engineers.
- Proven capacity to operate effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional project team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a sharp focus on business priorities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under minimal direction while staying tightly guided by project objectives.
- Physical capacity to manage positions involving sitting for long periods in a laboratory environment.
