How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Provide religious and spiritual care and counsel to patients, families, and associates, respecting diverse spiritual orientations and cultures.
  • Perform sacraments, rituals, blessings, and liturgies to support local ministry and community.
  • Collaborate in holistic patient care and build meaningful relationships through regular visitations and communication.
  • Mentor Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students and fellows.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Board Certification from the ACPE, APC, NACC, CASC, or the NAJC at time of hire or job transfer (or obtained within two years of hire or job transfer; risking termination if not obtained withintimeframe) is required. For those not board certified at time of hire or job transfer,ecclesiastical endorsement is required.

Education:

  • Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school is required. 3 units of CPE accredited by the ACPE is required only if not board-certified. 4 units of accredited CPE are preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience as a chaplain is preferred.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Board Certified Chaplain (APC, NACC, or NAJC) or board certification-eligible with 4 CPE units within 2 years of hire if not already certified.
  • Behavioral Health experience preferred; specialty care experience (groups, pulmonary, or cardiac rehab) is a plus.
  • Day shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with shared weeknight on-call rotation.
