Fulfillment Team Member 2 - Picking

Full Time!! Monday - Friday - Onsite

Job Summary:

Completes customer orders using one or more of the processes listed below. Team Member will generally have a specific area of focus and expertise. They will also be cross trained into additional functional to assist with functions outside their focus area based on staffing and workflow. Team Member may be called upon to assist in training and integration of new employees as conditions warrant. Team Member must be able to contribute to improvement efforts of high-performance work teams.

Essential Functions:

Picking:

Pull totes off conveyor when tag shows the number corresponding to the station number to which the picker has been assigned
Reviews work ticket to determine location and identity of item(s) to be picked
Moves to designated locations and picks the items indicated on the work ticket
Places item(s) in tote and returns tote to conveyor

Check/Pack:

Removes tote from inbound conveyor
Verifies that items in tote conform to customer order as noted on work ticket
If errors/exceptions are noted, checker will choose appropriate handling procedure
Places contents in shipping container and returns empty tote to tote takeaway conveyor
Places necessary items in shipping container and adds protective packing material if needed to ensure merchandise arrives undamaged
Places shipping label on box and places box on outbound conveyor

Support Functions

Team members provide support to a variety of tasks that support picking & packaging efforts
Support areas include collate production, material handling, truck loading & manifesting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

High School Diploma or GED preferred
Ability to comprehend read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions in English
Ability to problem solve
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work with a team
Working knowledge of computer

Physical Requirements:

Fulfillment worker

Must be able to complete various activities in Fulfillment that require hours of lifting, twisting, standing, and carrying
Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills
Must be able to lift/move up 50 pounds at a time
Must have good hand/eye coordination
