Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze drawings, sketches, design data and processing information of parts to determine configuration of cutter paths, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates. 
  • Create, maintain, manage, and improve CNC programs and tooling setup sheets for the CNC production equipment. 
  • Identify and participate in opportunities to improve processes and tools to reduce change over times, improve quality, address safety issues, and increase productivity.
  • Write tool sheet instructions containing tool lists, fixturing, and setup information.
  • Utilize CAD and CAM software, Syteline, and MS Office products as tools to perform day-to-day job tasks.
  • Work with Tooling personnel to procure tooling.
  • Work with CNC Machinists to correct errors and develop optimum machine performance.
  • Work with process engineering and fixture design for proper processing and fixturing.
  • Exemplify Kingsbury’s safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acting as a safety ambassador.
  • Attend all company-required trainings and meetings (e.g., safety and department meetings).
  • Oversee and maintain the quality according to Kingsbury Quality Assurance standards across Kingsbury products and processes.
  • Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with 3+ years of relevant programming experience and the ability to read and interpret G and M code. Blueprint reading and GD&T training completion is preferred.
