We will continue to innovate and do our part to preserve the environment by creating vehicles to reduce carbon emissions.  Overview: Assembler of school, activity, and commercial buses.  Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Paint Supervisor, the Auto Body Painter performs tasks required to prep school and commercial chassis and bodies. This position requires a strong background and experience in body work and painting. This position will inspect areas to be painted to ensure that the finish coat will meet specifications. The Painter inspects his/her work for defects and corrects as needed, and maintains personal safety equipment, paint department tools and equipment in proper operating order. Painter’s must maintain a clean and orderly workspace and be able to operate with little supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follows prescribed paint department procedures prior to making repairs. Preps and cleans unpainted bus bodies or unpainted external parts to be painted. Checks entire bus body for any defects and makes repairs as needed.  Perform body work, sanding, seam sealing etc. as needed. Paints bus chassis and bodies using single stage and base/clear Maintain cleans work area including the paint booth, paint kitchen, spraying equipment and tools used in the painting process.  Maintains all personal protective equipment. Assist other team members as needed.
